Analog choices have more consequences than digital ones. Whether it’s photography or writing something down, I’ve noticed that I tend to commit more to the thing I am creating if If I chose an analog instead of digital medium. In this post I want to explore my new found passion for analog.


Obsidian quick Tip - UUIDs

Here’s a quick tip / best practice I am going to implement from now on in any of my Obsidian based projects. After struggling with a problem to query all associated files with one “master” file I took my own advice. If I want to use the DataviewAPI / Dataview Plugin for Obsidian to query my Obsidian notes in an SQL-like syntax I also need to treat my notes like a (SQL or any other) database would treat it’s data.

If you’re like me, you know the struggle. After I’ve set sight on a new book for my library and hovering over the “buy” button I struggle to decide if I should get the physical or the digital / eBook variant of a book. Since I don’t want to waste any more time and energy thinking and deciding I came up with a few markers to check and help me decide.
